Casa Fenice | House Manual

Washing Machine

The washing machine is located behind the door in the downstairs bathroom. To use the machine, place dirty washing inside the tub, no more than ¾ full.

Place the detergent pod inside the drum on top of the dirty washing. Close the door. Turn the dial to the selected setting (we recommend All in One, the second setting to the left). Press “Play” (the small arrow button in the top right corner). Please note: for larger items like duvets, or large loads, we have a top loader washing machine in our house.

Please let us know as we are happy to help with these loads.

Washing Line

The washing line is located at the back on the house, directly opposite the round shed. Pull the two lines out and secure one on each hook on either side of the wooden door.

Back at the washing line unit loop each line around the disc under the pull out canister to secure.

Microwave:

The microwave is located above the oven on the right side of the kitchen.
Push the large button on the far right to open the door.

Heat: The button under the diamond with a vertical line on the right will add 30s for each time it is pressed and start cooking automatically.

Defrost: The button under the half snowflake/drop will call up 100g on the digital display. Press the up button to set the weight of the food you wish to defrost. The time will be calculated automatically. Press the diamond button to start defrosting.

Cancel: The far left button will cancel all selections.

The microwave will beep when it has completed the selected operation.

Oven

The oven is located on the right side of the kitchen at the bottom.

Please leave the tray at the bottom rung of the oven to catch any spills.

Push each button in to pop it out to turn.
The left button has a small nub at the twelve o clock position when off. This nub should point to the selected function. Clockwise from top: Off, Fan only, Top and bottom element, grill only (caution: very high temp), bottom element only, fan plus grill, bottom element plus fan, defrost, top element only, fan assisted plus both elements, light, off.

The right button can be turned to the correct temperature.

You MUST press start in the centre of the digital screen once you have selected the function and temperature to turn the oven on.

The lines on the right will flash to indicate pre heating.

When cooking is completed, turn the left nob back to the “off position”. If the light is on, the oven is still on.

Stove

The stove is an induction stove. Please do not slide pots across the surface as you would on a gas stove as this will scratch the glass irreparably.

The plate will not heat up without a pot or pan on it.

The stove will beep if conductive items have been placed on it when it is not switched on.

The circle with the vertical line will switch on the stove.

There is a temperature setting corresponding to each plate. Select the temperature you wish on the plate you have chosen.

If the stove does not switch on the child lock is activated. Hold your finger on the lock icon until it beeps (about 5 seconds) to unlock.

Switch off the stove when you are done.
If the pot is wet underneath it may struggle to make contact initially and could beep a warning.

Dishwasher

The dishwasher is located on the left hand side of the sink. Scrape food remains from dishes before putting them in dishwasher. Rinse heavily soiled items.

Load the dishwasher carefully. Incorrectly loaded items will not be cleaned. All hollow containers must
face down. No items on the bottom rack that block the rotation of the spin sprayer under the top rack.

Put the dishwasher cube directly onto the floor of the dishwasher (no need to put it into the dispenser).

Turn on the dishwasher, the button on the far left of the inside edge of the door.

Press “Auto” for heavily soiled dishes and close the door to begin washing.

Press Eco for lightly soiled dishes and close door to begin washing.

To sterilise baby’s bottles etc, choose the hygiene wash option and close the door to begin washing.

The dishwasher door will pop open when it is finished washing. Open the door wider to prevent steam streaks on glasses.

No need to add salt or rinse aid, we will ensure these are topped up.

Extractor Hood

Turn the dial underneath on the right to switch on the light.

Turn the dial on the left for the extractor function.

Ceiling Fans

The remote operates both the light and the fan.

If they do not turn on when you select the button on the remote, turn the switch on the wall to the opposite position.

When you are not in the room, please do not leave the fan on high to avoid wearing out the motor.

Thermostat and Radiators

Jacuzzi

The chemicals and pump of the jacuzzi will be managed by us. The temperature will be around 30° in summer. The filter pump will circulate the water twice a day with Ozone to clean and sterilize.

Please shower with soap prior to getting into the jacuzzi, taking care to rinse off creams etc, as this maintains the cleanliness of the water.

Please do not wet hair in the jacuzzi as hair blocks the filters.

Fold the cover to the left and gently slide off and move it to the side and out of your way.
After use, please switch off light and jet pump and replace cover.

The buttons/dials function as follows:

From right to left from outside of the jacuzzi:

Button: Light

Button: Jet Pump

Small dials x 3: change focus and strength of water flow between jets and bubbles

Large dial: changes strength of flow between volcano jet on bench and back massage jets on seat opposite.

Home Theatre

Television: use the Samsung remote to switch on the television. The left and right buttons should be used to navigate to Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc.

Amplifier: use the Yamaha remote to switch on the amplifier using the “receiver” on button. This will stop normal television transmission as it is set to PS4 to play DVDs.

Playstation: this is the DVD player. Use the Playstation controller. Press the button with a P on it between the two toggles to switch on the PlayStation. Insert the selected DVD into the hidden slot on the left front of the Playstation. Do not force the disc in, it only needs to be placed gently about 2cm in and the machine will slide the disc the remainder of the way in.

Press the green x to select Casa Fenice.

Toggle the left controller to the right to the picture that looks like a disc. Press x to select.

Use the toggle/navigation arrows and the x button to select options.

Should the battery be low, charge using the supplied cable and the USB port at the front of the Playstation.

To eject the disc, lightly hold your finger to the sensor at the front bottom of the machine in a line from the blue light. It will beep and eject automatically. If you do not remove the disc immediately it will go back into the machine and you will need to wait a moment before trying again.

To switch off the machine hold your finger lightly to the sensor at the front top of the machine, in line with the blue light. The blue light will flash then turn orange when the machine is off.

Home Theatre - Projector

Screen: The buttons to lower and raise the screen are in the left corner next to the radiator. The bottom button lowers. The middle button stops. The top button raises. A quick press to top and bottom will raise and lower automatically. Please use these in a controlled manner after ensuring there are no obstacles. Please close the screen after use.

Projector: Switch the projector on using the large white remote. When switching the projector off it will ask you to confirm and press the off button a second time. No other button on the projector remote needs to be used as they are for programming purposes.

Ceiling feature lights: the small white remote with coloured dots controls the feature lights. Aim the remote into the front right corner just above the lip to switch on or off the front and right lights, or to change their colour. Aim the remote to the diagonally opposite corner to change/turn on/turn off the back and left lights. Please remember to switch off after use.
